Shoulder pads aren’t bad!
The fashion of the 80s is back and is just one of the trends as such. In the 80s for men as well as women to get noticed at all costs was the goal.
Maybe some of you can still remember it: crinkly colors … it had to sparkle, shine and it had to look very individual!
“The more the merrier” or “better too much than too little” were two famous mottos in that decade and this was especially evident in fashion pieces such as oversized blazers and jackets, abstract graphic prints, neon colors and shoulder pads. It had to be more and more extreme.
At the time we were still quark in the shop window* (a proverb in Germany) and can tell you only by stories. But it seems to have been a “loud” flashy time, that’s why the fashion world is only too happy to fall back on the 80s style today. Style and movie icons like Madonna, Princess Diana or Boy George wear/wore shoulder pads. In short, “you still have it on the screen”, so you can see striking style characters of this time even today on the big screen and on TV.
Of course, courage is necessary to dress according to the 80s, because with these looks, you are guaranteed to stand out everywhere in the crowd! So if there are shrill birds among you readers, get ready because on the horizon the 80’s are approaching.
*It means that we were not born at that time.

Let the sun go down on me … but that’s almost impossible this season. However, a small sun replacement provides this new trend color which has sneaked into our wardrobe in the autumn: mustard yellow!
Let’s be honest, the sun presents a warm feeling in our little white winter world. It has something cheerful and melancholy. Everywhere we look, we can see this rich shade of yellow.
It makes a perfect match together with the colors grey, black, gold and brown because this powerful yellow loves strong contrasts.
If you stroll through the shopping streets soon you will encounter many small accessories because mustard yellow is especially represented in handbags, scarves, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. They are all currently dipped into the mustard pot.
Do not miss it, you know: Mustard is hot! Literally! Also it fits perfectly to dark purple, navy blue, green, special tones such as petrol and fir green or moss green and kaki. Those who prefer warm colors should combine such tones as burgundy, orange or copper.

We love the ensemble playing of a cute trenchcoat and a normal black jeans or other casual trousers. Anyways, we present you our latest acquisition! It’s this beautiful timeless trenchcoat from Zara.
The classic trenchcoat usually has buttons, is shorter and has a belt but chose a different kind. The long cut and the missing buttons and belt make the trenchcoat look more casual. Until a few months ago, we both didn’t own a single trenchcoat. All the years we constantly passed the it-pieces until we went to Budapest in autumn. So many girls wore trenchcoats in a variety of cuts, lengths and colors and they inspired us to buy such a jacket. Now we don’t want to miss it in our wardrobe anymore. They have been classics for years! The fashion world presents new designs of jackets every season but the classic trenchcoat is one of the less timeless clothing pieces that just keep up with the trend. Furthermore it enhances any simple outfit. It seems casual and consistent but definitly not boring. Last but not least a trenchcoat suits every occasion, whether a restaurant visit or a business meeting, with a trenchcoat you are always on the right track.
