LAST DAY! So sad! We just wanted to stay there forever but nevertheless we really enjoyed our last few hours in that crazy city.
Do you know that sight “Petřínská rozhledna” (Petřín Lookout Tower)? It is one of the most popular landmarks of Prague besides the Castle or the Old Town of Prague. The tower is a loose copy inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The view from its top overlooks not only the whole city. Actually on a clear day you can see nearly all of Bohemia. Sounds interesting right? We thought the same! So we made our way to the metro, went all the way to the right station and later than decided not to do it. We were afraid of a too long journey because we had to leave Prague at 5.30 pm and you need to bring along a lot of time to hike up the hill to the tower and back down.
We quickly decided to sneak into the Golden Lane next to the Castle of Prague. The entrance is chargeable. The ticket includes other attractions you can visit around the castle complex. The Golden Lane consists of small houses which are painted in different bright colors. Many of the houses are cute little souvenir shops and there is a museum of medieval armoury. A crowd of people rolled through the narrow alley which has pushed the heat even more. After that we walked to the Charles Bridge and to the Old Town trying to find a restaurant. As soon as we sat down under a restaurants parasol it began to rain, like pouring rain! Unfortunately it continued to rain so we determined to go to the shopping center Palladium again to protect us from the bad weather. Well we enjoyed the last few hours and went on our journey back home in the evening.
Lets just say Prague is a breathtaking city. No more words needed!
